2012

General meetings  -  Usually [but not always] the third Saturday in months of March, June & September & first Saturday of December,  at Punchbowl Christian Centre, 100 Punchbowl Road, Launceston.  Details here     
Next General Meeting  16 June
to be followed by a suitcase exhibition                          
Meeting dates for 2012 are 17 March, 16 June, 29 September, 7 December.

Southern members - there is a bus from Hobart so you don't have to drive -  details to be advised later   
 

Committee of Management

Retreats:  May 2012   -   Poatina  -  First retreat 16-20 May, and second retreat 24-27 May.
There's still a few vacancies if you want to go, absolute deadline 1 May.    Booking forms here.

Applications must be in the hands of the Convenor at least 2 weeks / 14 days before date of Valuation Day.

Deadlines for articles for each newsletter, are the dates for each General Meeting, and the newsletter will be posted out a month or so before the next following meeting.  Important information between newsletters will be posted in the Members' section of this website.  Articles to be posted here on the website can be sent to the Web Manager.

Sommers Bay Quilters afternoon tea for the Cancer Council, 12 May, Dunalley Hall at Dunalley, 1 pm.
There will be quilts on display, a trade table, traders and demonstrations.  Afternoon tea included in the price $7.
Come along, sit & chat, enjoy refreshments, do some sewing and enjoy the demonstrations and displays.

Rotary Hoffman Challenge 2012 - Challenge fabric, rules and entry form available from
here.  Entries close 30 September.   Generous prizes are on offer, and finalists will be exhibited at the annual Tasmanian Craft Fair in Deloraine, on 2 - 5 November 2012.  The winner will also qualify to enter the Premier's Award, which is a $10,000 acquisitive award for the best work at the Fair.  (Several TQG members were winners in the 2011 Hoffman Challenge .)
